Frances

Hello, my name’s Frances, and this is my husband, James. We’ve been clients of Just Us for seven years, and Dominic looks after us.

James

I was initially looking for a financial adviser who could give me specific pension advice. Then I wanted to look at my investments and get some advice about how I should bring those all together under one roof.

Dominic Hennessy was recommended to me by a work colleague who’d had a very good experience over the years.

When I first met Dominic and had a chat with him, I realised that we were on the same wavelength; he gave the impression that he fully understood what I was looking for. He wasn’t trying to sell me any specific products that he deals with, he was attentive, and he listened, and that’s a very important quality, so I was pretty sure from the get-go that that we were going to work well together.

Frances

He has been brilliant at making sure we’re abreast of where things are in terms of the law, any changes in our tax situation, and whatever it might be that affects what we do. James has retired in the time that we’ve been with Dominic, and he helped us confirm that that was a good and possible thing for him to do. He’s now moved into helping us work out where to draw our money from now we don’t have an employment income.

James

I feel very confident working with Dominic and Just Us. I feel that he’s got our best interests at heart and whenever I have an issue, I feel very confident that I can call him and he will come back very quickly on any queries that I might have.

Frances

Because we’re working with Dominic, I feel our future is secure. I don’t think there’ll be any sudden problems or issues, he’ll warn us of any changes and sort things out with us before anything might go wrong, and I feel very confident therefore that we’re in a great position.

One of the best things about working with Dominic and Just Us is that he is very friendly and very easy to spend time with in our meetings. We enjoy working with him.

James

Quite clearly, the most valuable piece of advice that Dominic was able to give me at any one time was when he told me that I was in a financial position to make the decision to retire from work. That was done with a combination of using diagrams, projecting income for the forthcoming years, and convincing me that I could make that decision, when I wasn’t confident without that advice before.

Frances

I would definitely recommend Dominic to others, and I have passed his details to some friends of mine already. Why? Because he’s been so helpful for us, and because I can confidently tell people that they’re in good hands if they work with him because as he’s done with us, he’ll explain things in a helpful manner, going at a pace to suit the client, and he’ll take the mystery away from financial planning through explaining.
