Hi, I’m Catherine, and this is Matt. We’ve been clients of Just Us Financial Planning for over 10 years, I was the original client, and we work with Dom.

Before I was a client of Just Us Financial Planning, I wasn’t paying much attention to my finances. I had savings and a pension, but they were all a bit all over the place. Once I became a client of Dom’s, he was able to help me structure my plan and think about how much risk I wanted to take, where I wanted to make investments, and put together a really solid plan that’s been much better going forwards.

It was only a couple of years ago when I went from being full-time employed to being self-employed, and there were lots of tax implications that came with that, and so on, so I thought it was a good idea for me to get on board with Just Us as well.

We’re very busy, I don’t work in finance, and I don’t have time to follow the stock market so I don’t know what the macroeconomic trends are and I can’t predict how the economy will look in six months. Dom is very good at giving advice such as, “This is where we are at the moment, and this is what you should be considering, considering what is going on worldwide.”

I was recommended to speak to Dom when I was looking for a mortgage for a flat that I owned. It was a friend at work who recommended Dom to me, and I’ve gone on to recommend Dom to many other people since!

They’re very easy to talk to, very easy to work with, and even though financial stuff can be highly complex, Dom is really good at breaking things down in simple terms, and he’s really helped my personal understanding.

When I first met Dom, I had a young family, and I was at a different point in my career. I’ve actually bought business since meeting him as well as moving house and changing jobs; he’s been there every step of the way, and I feel confident in the decisions we’ve made based on Dom’s advice.

Matt

It feels really good working with Dom and the team. We feel like we’re in safe hands, and that we can approach them if we need to, or if anything crops up, we feel we need to discuss. We’re very happy with the relationship.

One of the best things about working with Just Us is the reassurance it provides knowing that you have people who’ve got their ear to the ground, and know what’s going on, especially in these volatile times. If there is an economic shock around the corner, I can rely on Dom and team to get in touch and give us some sage advice.

I’m really happy with how I feel about our financial future since we’ve been working with Dom. I have a really clear idea. Sometimes ask things like “What would happen if I wanted to retire five years earlier?” and we’re able to model that out, and see that I can’t retire five years earlier, so, I feel like we’re in a really good situation with how well we understand our finances and where we’re predicting to go in the future.

I think it’s highly important that people get good, sound financial advice. Many people don’t have financial advisers, and I think lots of people would benefit from having one, and that being the case, I think I would always recommend approaching Dom and the team regardless of your financial situation; they can help.
